Seneca Lake-January
Went out on Seneca Lake January 6th to film episode 13 of Lakes Region Fishing. The weather was cold and breezy with a south wind putting a nice chop on the lake, sky was must clear-bluebird witha few clouds starting to roll in late in the day,air temp 18 degrees, and water temp 40.9 degrees. Could not locate any schools of perch, so I fell back on my winter small mouth spots, caught 3 over 3 lbs, some samller one-keepr size. Even caught a large chain pickeral-6lbs and a large perch that must have been lost. All fish were caught in 25 to 35 feet on hair jig.
