Champlain in November

November trips on Champlain were quite productive for smallies. Expect to deal with some wind and rough water. A sea anchor was  used a lot to slow drifts. Smallies were bunched up on humps and points, typical places you would expect to find them, however not all humps or points were holding fish. Tubes and jigs produded best. Banged a few on lipless cranks. Fish were holding in 18 to 25 feet. best action was late morning with low light conditions (cloudy)  and a slight chop on the water.
